Is it an existential crisis?

Is it an existential crisis?

I am a 19(F). I don’t have any idea what’s going on with my life and what am I gonna do in coming days. I’ve just completed my +2 lost a year before it due to my health issues. I spend every hour in my room wasting my day, no productivity at all. I don’t want to stay unsocialized but still don’t have any urge to socialize. I am blank at this point watching my days pass by. I’ve been an ambitious bright kid my whole life but everything I dreamt if seems to fade away now. I AM STUCK.

  1. You have an overstimulation problem. Stop indulging in social media and actually go outside. Getting enrolled in something useful may be in college or something and work towards your passion.

  2. Lol wait until you go past 20, then the real thing starts.

Jokes aside, I think you need to get yourself a hobby. You could try learning a musical instrument, join an art event, or even create a driving licence. If you’ve got friends, plan out a one-day vacation with them at a nearby picnic spot. Also, this one will probably come off as irritating but maybe get yourself a boyfriend (girlfriend if you’re lesbian). Also, 19 is a good time to hit the gym if you want to be fit.

And here’s something absolutely fun if you’re an outgoing person. I recommend going on a little window shopping (Pick up new fashion, learn what colors match your skin tone, what type of dresses suit you. Don’t forget to take notes. Later, if you’ve got the money, you will know what to buy.)

Just don’t sit at home and drink that depression serum. Live a little, eh. These years will go by quickly.

    Cheers!

  3. Yes. It is existential crisis. Exist in the nature, not in the world of men. Get lost in the nature, not in the confusing words of men. Yoi can choose where you want to exist. Choose wisely.

  4. you are only 19, don’t let the internet make you think you are stuck…. do what you like… Fuck around and figure out. for godsake you are just 19. 9 with a teen. Fuck around and figure out life. You ain’t gonna do shit. BUT you will one day and that day is far before that make yourself capable enough for hardship of life

  5. Been thru that. I had health problems and I started being comfortable just staying at home.

    What helped me was…

    Sathi haru bheta.
    Force yourself to excercise.
Meditate (headspace is the best one)
    Stop using social medias
Create a detailed routine for yourself (Wake up by
6.15am, wash face – yes write esto sano Kura too, make your bed, drink water – write everything sano details ma, estai estai)

If u wanna start something (break down that tasks to simplest tasks)

  6. I don’t really know your situation completely but basing off on just the things you’ve said I’d like to speak my thoughts on this matter. (Please do take everything I’m gonna say with a grain of salt)

On your question of whether it is an existential crisis or not, well it may be or it may be not. I’ve myself gone through that phase many times and I know EVERYONE, may it be rich or poor, happy or depressed, young or old have at least once or more thought, “Why the hell am I even here, just…, living as I am?”

And the answer to that, I don’t know. And to be honest, no one knows. And anyone who tells you otherwise with absolute certainty are the biggest frauds. Cause after much thinking and consideration, I’ve come to the realization that there is no absolute. Neither is there an absolute truth nor any absolute false. But that’s a topic of discussion for some other time.

Coming back to your post on hand, you’ve said that you don’t have any idea what’s going on and what you’re gonna do. TO brief on this matter, more or less, no one does. They may just have a better vision going forth but everyone’s life one way or the other is a big mess. Now the thing to discuss on is whose is less messier and whose is more.

Why I am telling you about all this is because your problem seems to not only stem from you but it is stemming also from the people, the surrounding and the content you are engaging constantly over here through social media.

In some sense or the other you may also be having FOMO.

You feel you are not productive because you’ve crafted this well fabricated ideal of productivity you’ve seen in others, you feel like time if slipping through your fingers because a year of your life after +2 has gone by and you think you are stuck because most people are going abroad or doing bachelors or pursuing something else while you are just stuck still.

Well let me fill you in on some secret. Those kids you see pursuing further into the future, going abroad, doing bachelors, most of them don’t even know what or heck, even why they’re doing the things they’re doing. Most of them just do it because someone else told them to; their parents, older siblings, relatives. They just gave in to the noise surrounding them, blocking them off from pursuing a path on which they’ve really thought through in their own or a path that really is something meaningful to them.

DO you think that it is meaningful to lead by such a pitiable path?

I would say it is more of a blessing to you that you have the time and the right to actually consider various possibilities, sort your thoughts without the noise of the world and actually do something you may find meaningful.

“Just by simply not limiting yourself, following others just by the fear of missing out, you have infinite possibilities you can make your own.”

And on your other topic of wanting to socialize more or being ambitious like before, there are more than enough people even here in the comments already dropping their very own opinions and tips so I shall refrain from doing so myself.

My objective through writing all this is only to make you consider looking at life and the problems you’re facing right now from a different light and nothing else. And if I managed to do that, helped spark even a flicker of thought, I would consider my objective has been all but, fulfilled.

  7. life can sometimes throw curveballs at us, and it’s totally normal to feel a bit lost and stuck sometimes, yeah? especially considering you’ve had health issues and circumstances to deal with.

if it helps, remember that it’s okay not to have everything figured out at 19 (or even at any age!). life is full of uncertainties and the path isn’t always clear. but don’t let this stop you from exploring, learning, and growing as an individual. maybe, use this time to re-evaluate your ambitions and dreams, perhaps they’ve changed or maybe you’ve grown.
if you just find yourself stuck and feel unable to move forward, reaching out to a mental health professional might be an idea? they can provide valuable insights and guide you through these tough times.

Most importantly, be kind to yourself. understand it’s a phase and not a permanent state. remember, progress isn’t always a straight line ahead. it’s okay to take a few steps back to jump forward. comfort zones can make us feel secure, but remember, nothing ever grows in them.

gist of it all – start by taking small steps, venturing out of your comfort zone, seeking professional help if needed, and don’t be too hard on yourself. you’ve still got a whole life ahead of you.

  8. Read, learn something new, so some physical activity and talk with people with same interest or people feeling the same like you. Life is just started and its a phase it will pass and something new will come. Existential crysis is something that comes and goes all the time.

  9. Don’t just hope things will get better. Do something. Do anything. Anything will lead to something. Try to learn a new skill. Bored? Move to another. Just keep trying new things at this age. If you don’t have a hobby, it’s because you have not explored everything. You may think you have, but believe me there’s a lot than you may have imagined out there. Try to learn a new language, Read books, if nothing else, search a list of hobbies. Pick one, try it and then another. Just make sure, when you look back at the end of the day, you could say “I tried”.

  10. It’s not a crisis. You’re young and you’ll follow your own life path. Stop looking at your friends and relatives life choices. This seems to be a big issue for kids these days. Everyone else looks to be success and they feel like they are failing.

You have plans of bachelor’s and abroad. Continue with it. For the time being, Go out with friends and ffs gym jau or take a run in the park if you can’t go to gym. Really helps with controlling stupid thoughts.

You’re 19, stop having mid life crisis and enjoy life

  11. I am mature than you and have Masters degree too. Currently living

abroad but truth is I am going through same situation as you. I cancelled a trip to a national park just with my friends just because …I don’t know why?

I am hopeful I will overcome this and will have a better life.

  12. Damn . You’ve had it what i had. Ma ni health problems le garda college nai xodeko. Balla talla gari pass gare +2. Ahile k garne tha xaina but abroad ra nepal ma csit ko lagi try gardai ho. What health problem if you could discuss?

  13. Take it this way. You are 19 and have completed +2. You are already ahead of so many. You still have time and can do whatever you set your mind on. Just be consistent and dedicated. Don’t forget to have fun.

  14. Don’t worry, Even i was going the same. Meet with your friends and hangout with them. Focus on your career and think positive. If you are Stuck in those things that have already happen makes no sense now. Although it hurts and it’s part of your life but. Be active in other things. Aru kei kura ma mann lagau. Timro hobbies k k xa? Tesma focus gara.

  15. “‘ve been an ambitious bright kid my whole life” this kill everyone . just delete this word from your brain and say you are dump from beginning and every small progress you do is big for you . here is example to understand

if mukesh ambani got 1 lakh for free he will not be happy but if we get 1 lakh rs for free we will have lots of happiness like a lot . that how our brain work . its same money but some have joy some doesnot. just say you are dumb but you will try to progress and just do something small and you will be happy .
