Aaja “Sambidhan Diwas” re ani aaja hamra rastrapati pardoned 670 prisoners from jail. As, our constitution allows president to pardon convicts from the jail on the recommendations of “Cabinet” during Dashain, Republic day and Constitutional day. Why should one even be fearful of law when you are sure to get out if you have people placed in power? Truly, 2 different laws for the higher and lower class.

How do they decide?
It’s mostly for the people who committed crimes like rape, murder and something like that. These types of people are released on these days after they have spent a decade in prison as far as I have known but not sure about it. Well it’s like a old saying “Nepal ko kanun daiba le janun”
The list should never contain the name of the criminals convicted of serious and heinous crimes. Petty crimes or non victim crimes like theft (not robbery), tax evasion, etc etc, may be. But what do you expect from a system that excuses and pardons criminals like Resham Chaudhary.
