Hoping its just a seasonal flu but the sheer coincidence with what happened in Dec 2019 and the years following, I cant help but be speculating.
What we know so far: The pathogens are known and are common in Nepal, but its the mutations that change the game. Currently, its an influenza virus that come from poultry and other farm animals. It mainly affects small children and immunocompromised or immunodeficient people (so old people, people with a current disease etc). Treatment for bacterial cause is present (Mycoplasma) and for viral cases its mostly symptomatic treatment and intervention if the case worsens.

Maybe its China’s policies regarding press freedom, we’d never know if it is as good of a situation as they are portraying it. Similar outbreaks have been reported in UK and the US. India, Taiwan, Thailand and other Asian countries are preparing.
I hope the government has some plan in place as the government is currently surveilling the situation.

Damn if this escalates to a lockdown like scenario then the government will have a reason to ban protests and they can do all sorts of ridiculous stuff they want without facing any backlash.
Government doesn’t have any plan. They are too busy banning tiktok and trying to ban Snapchat, fb, YouTube along with limiting users with 2000 MB of data. One of them even made an airline leave 31 people just because he had a trip to lick balls of Dubai’s sheikhs. So no, if this is actually an epidemic situation a lot worse can happen than 2019. Also considering many people have left Nepal it might not be that worse.
Just heard that Pfizer revealed 1200 patients were died during clinical trial of covid vaccine due to various complications(not sure if it’s true news are heavily censored everywhere X has not censored it to some extent)
