May be I am late for this but what is this going on about beating doctors and all?? As far as I know it isnt ethical to beat anyone up in their workplace or any place for that matter? And I heard they could just work as doctors in foreign country and get paid like 10 times more with dignity and respect than here?Is it true? It’s not just doctors, teachers, engineers people with high skill and talent aren’t recognized here but for others it’s about respect and money but for doctors its so unsafe, like before people would be reluctant to go to army now I think doctors is the most unsafe,if this goes on will this country only have theives and goons left?Ki ta kuihina paryo kuiyeko sita basna ki ta kuhinu aghi nai niskina paryo…pitai khai khai kina kaam garne k bichara haru? And it’s like everyday too, same news nai repeatedly aako ho ki it’s different case i dont know but there is always news about doctor being beat up and hadtal k ho k,I feel bad to hear such highly qualified people fight for basic decency ,bichara nakuta hamlai vanera andolan garnu pareko Cha bichara harulai…pay and all ta they have even given up hope, just for safety they are fighting…

Mostly because doctors are so burned out and overworked that they forget their manners, and sometimes people are just people, idiots.
My opinion,
due to excessive work load, doctors are very busy and barely communicate with patients. so when something happens, people generally think it was doctor. Unlike in private hospitals. Most doctors are calm except few. Compounder however is very rude.
sometime, rarely some patient do die due to negligence. and when this happens, no action is taken against hospital or doctor.
what this causes is, people don’t have faith on system and take matter to their own hand. lawlessness is the by product of delayed justice.
Just my thoughts. A combination of no proper management in hospitals and uneducated/impatient people/patients.
Hospitals here are a mess. They dont have any good system. Theres no token system most places. Hospitals are very crowded. Maybe more crowded than they can handle. Which causes longer lines and wait times. Which cause people to grow inpatient. Us nepali dont like staying in lines, so we try to push our way through to the front of the line. This itself causes chances of jhagada. If hospitals took appointments and actually ran by that, then part of this issue wouldnt arise. If there are proper lines/systems in place, then people wont get frustrated. Also, some people think doctors should be able to cure everything. Doctors are not magicians, they can only do whats capable of them. If someone dies because of valid natural reasons, some people like to blame the doctors.
As far as doctors, I agree with what others say is theres no good customer service skills. We dont go to the hospital to get yelled at which doctors and the people working at the hospital seem to do. Also some doctors are really unprofressional. They act like they are above everyone else and are not polite. Not all but definately some. Some doctors act like they are just there to make money. We wait 2 hours and they dont even consult properly for 5 minutes. Besides this, yes some malpractice does happen. You hear numerous stories of surgeries gone wrong where its the doctors fault, carelessness (who knows the real reasons).
Definately not an expert in this, just my personal thoughts and observations.
Yes no one should face violence when doing their job. Maybe the reason why the doctors get beaten a lot in Nepal is because of disparities between the cost of healthcare and quality of doctors.
Mero ek jana sathi ko operation ko bela certian length ko wound hunxa vanera vaneka thye harey tara due to some accident, torso kai purai end to end samma ko wound basexa, ahile samma apthyaro ni hunxa arey.
Hamro mama le jachauna gako bela doctor le prostate ko issue ho vanera prostate ko dabai deko thyo, antim ma cancer raxa. Tei doctor lai patyauney vayera dhilo vako thyo.
Incompetent doctor haru dherai xan. Aru kura ma thaha vayena tara doctor jasto noble profession lai ettikai kasaile kutna jadaina. Kei reason the pakkai pani hunxa. Life itself ko kura xa, incompetence dekhauney kei reason nai hudaina ni.
Kasari suru bhako yo kura khas? Koi doctor le patient mardera hoki k ho i have no idea on this.
I suggest you read this [पलायन भएको एक डाक्टरको कथा :: Setopati](https://www.setopati.com/cover-story/setopati-debate/313096?mibextid=Zxz2cZ&fbclid=IwAR2c4P4n6BJ6MsVC8DyCJfNPAyR2D16buzfiTGja5wIKW64vldqHg-8yF04)
There is a systemic problem with our healthcare system. The problem is not inherently with the doctors or their education as some people accuse. If that was the case then western countries would not be hiring nepali doctors. The thing is on an individual level many doctors in nepal are capable individuals. But the system like all other sectors has failed in healthcare too. The causes are many. But being the foot soldiers of healthcare system they have to face the frustration of the people towards the system. Its made worse by the fact that doctors are seen as the ‘sampanna barga’. And we all know that the ‘sampanna barga’ is always the culprit and never the victim. Right guys? All in all the easy way out for doctors like most other Nepalese is to leave. And oh they are doing so in huge quantities. Some 25-30 years of state investment lost.
Now blaming the system is not the solution. As part of the system doctors themselves could have pushed for changes right? Well f*ck you man. What did you do to change the system? We got one life and not everyone wants to spend it trying to make the system work for ungrateful mofos like you. If there’s a place where the same skill and same work can earn a safe comfortable living, it is only natural that people want to move there. Not everyone wants to fight and change the system. Some people want a simpler, easier existence.
euta side bata herda, Kanun kada navara, J gareni chalne vaxa yo des ma. Arko side ma, doctors ko helchekrai badi vo, for ex, ma baseko area ko hospital ko policey patient antim awastha nahunjel refer nagarne xa.
edit – antim awastha vannale hospital ko resource le birami lai normal condition ma rakhna sakne
Just stay at hospital for some amount of time then you will understand. They will threaten you that they will pull the plug to your loved ones if you can’t pay even 5 thousand rupees on time they have given. They will threaten you that they are not going to provide medication if you don’t have money right then and there. And this happens at sarkari hospital now imagine the fucking leechers private hospitals. I know its not doctor’s fault, it is related to management. But if i have to tell someone that im not going to give this medicine which will save life of patient and let them die because they cannot pay 5 thousand rupees, i won’t be able to live with myself. I guess that’s why every doctors and nurses are leaving this shit hole nation. Im not saying doctors deserves to get beat up just trying to show the hedious situation of our health care.
Beat diseases, not doctors. Okay, only beat corrupted doctors.

Due to their attitude n rough speaking
Everyone’s stressed and vent their anger
Just that doctors are well educated and do not resort to violence and end up protesting in a civilized manner
