1. mama, maiju address bhanja bhanji with highest degree of respect, like using ‘hajur’, ‘tapai’.
2. we don’t touch feet of grandparents of mamaghar side. And mamas touch our feet.
3. more dakshina during Dashain that we accept without any words of denial.
treatments like these.

Hmm seems like the case of specific families like yours. In my family and relations as well as most folks I know, bhanja bhanji and bhatij bhatiji hold the same importance. All are beloved and yet scolded whenever opportunity arises lol.
