The kind of budget we have, we need to focus on preventive services and primary care. The dengue epidemic for example. Preventing it is much cheaper than treating hundreds of people. Subsidized healthcare services for eldery, poor, people with chronic disease and disabled people. The rest gotta pay. Thats what i’d do.

I had same question buzzing around in my mind since I took my father to Mediciti last time.
I was happy to pay bills however it is too expensive for a normal class people altho it is one of the best infra-structured hospital in Nepal but it doesn’t have to loot people.

Most government hospitals are affordable compared to private hospitals. So, one thing we can easily improve is the waiting times in these comparatively affordable hospitals. What I feel is that there is incentive for private hospitals to influence policy making at government hospitals to make their waiting time the worst.
