A week ago I had booked 2 flight tickets from Pokhara to Kathmandu through Esewa and the term “Refundable” was mentioned on it. But then soon decided taking the bus would be a better option as it would save money plus I’d get to Kathmandu faster as only evening flight was available while the bus seats were available in the morning shift. I canceled my flight from esewa and also called customer support to confirm my cancellation as I didn’t get any cancelation notification. After successful cancelation of my flight I booked the bus ticket and took the bus. But a few days later when I got the refund I only got partial refund of my ticket price. When I contacted Esewa they asked me if it was partial refund or full refund and they started saying it’s only partial refund policy. “Refundable” was the only term coined in Esewa booking page. How are we to understand that the refund policy is partial or full when nothing else is mentioned anywhere. If it was partial refund I wouldn’t have gone

Cancellation charge is applied which resulted in partial refund only. The charge depends on the airline, the ticket category and the time of cancellation. You can check out the airlines website to be sure of your refunded amount.
hmmm……. it’s always partial refund with these tickets, no? That’s what I have been seeing.
Most of the time, it’s partial refund. Even if you had booked directly through airlines’ website, it would still be a partial refund. The scenarios when it is a full refund are when flight is cancelled, or you made a wrong booking and immediately correct it with another booking.
