Today, I was listening to the voice and there Niva dangol sang this song in the audition.. And I found this song so captive.. I have heard this song many times in past as well and today also when I searched the song there hundreds of covers for this song.. Many were great.. And I liked them… But I don’t understand a single sentence of this song.. So Can anyone who knows the newari or the song please translation it here… Also please just not plainly translation it word by word please give the context as well..
Also i would like to know who originally wrote this and if writer is known and the 1st singer as well…

This is not even the original version. This song predates the movie Rajamati by many years. The lyrics is a bit different in the new version.

The original lyricist is unknown. First composed in 1800s. It was played during the state visit of Jang Bahadur to England in 1850. Later, recorded by Ustad Seturam Shrestha in 1908 in Kolkata using gramophone and became the first Nepali to record song in gramophone.
