Parents always give emphasis and severe pressure on children about those things which they could not achieve in their entire life. Ta bachelors, masters ramrai garis vane umkinthis. Ramro jagir hunthyo , chillo gadi chadna pauthis eta uta …….. that statement “mero sapana pura gaar hai ” inflict lot of pressurised toxicity.

I don’t know why this is called toxic behavior. Parents want what’s best for their children. The methods may be questionable but the intentions are always pure in most cases.
Just move. If they feed you then shut up
Luckily my parents aren’t like that, of course they force me to study, which every parents do, cause they want their children to be able to live well, but they’ve never pressured me to do anything. They’re like ,” talai j thik lagxa, sajilo lagxa, tei gar”. I joined bachelor’s, they said nothing, I even left bachelor’s without a valid reason, they didn’t scold me or anything. Even though I’m depressed and have suicidal thoughts a lot of times, the thought of my parents stop me from actually committing, cause I can’t make them feel like they failed as parents.
Parents saying,” mero sapana Pura gar la” isn’t itself toxic but when their children cannot become what their parents want regardless of how hard they try, and if those parents see their children as a failure and start making them feel guilty, that’s when it gets toxic. Most of the Nepali parents aren’t well educated and might need some guidance on these things.
