so basically from my understanding i’ve seen people against the christian missionaries trying to convert people into christianity.
firstly,we’re all intellectual beings who know what we’re doing.There is freedom of choice,the same reason why a lot of christian,jews from all over the world are converting into buddhism slowly,because they’re more inclined towards the teachings.
Yes,when you belong to a vulnerable group and there’s a person “pretending” to help you,you’ll obviously dive into whatever the person is saying.For this,proper regulations are required,not declaring a state into a “hindu nation”.
also what i find truly amusing is how can you force someone to not convert into a religion that would probably not divide them? by this i mean,most of the people i’ve seen converting into christianity are people from the so called”lower caste” as declared by the same people from their own religion.so tell me,what these people mean by not allowing others to convert (by this i mean the people converting mainly due to casteism faced from the people of the SAME religion) and at the same time wnating to continue with the “ta tallo jaat,esko khana khanuhunna” bs?
look it’s true chirstian missionaries have targeted the vulnerable groups tara most of it would not be the case if nepali afai le hinduism laid taint garera afnai jaat bhitra discrimination gardaina thyo.and apart from that,everyone is free to choose the way they live,the religion they follow.Hopefully,the future generations of so called hindus who still discriminate people on the basis of their caste understand it.no religion is bigger than the other.Just live your live.and don’t get butthurt,this is just a rant from all the posts coming up these days.won’t even be replying anything for my own peace of mind.

There are too many ridiculous arguments and holes in your post, I don’t know where to start from. I’ll try to address a few of them
1. Christian, Jews converting to Buddhism or Hinduism isn’t the same as the entire village of Hindus and Buddhists converting to Christianity overnight. Buddhists aren’t going in the deep villages of America or Europe and targeting the vulnerable people there to convert. Those who converted to Buddhism did it out of their own research and desire. 90% of them make a U turn later because it was only a phase for them, not lifelong commitment.
2. You talked about force. Here another example, rape doesn’t always involves forces like in the movies. Most rapes involves influencing, coercing, grooming, lying, fear mongering, making hopeful promises. By your definition only forceful and violent sexual acts like in the movies are only rape.
People being converted aren’t being forced with a gun on their head but they are being tricked using various methods.
3. You bring up caste to say that caste is the main cause of conversion. You are wrong on this too.
The majority of people converting in Nepal are Buddhists from Tamang, Gurung community and Kirat community. From 2001, to 2011 and 2022 census, their population has significantly declined while dalit population has increased. If I remember correctly, Buddhist population went from 13% to 8% by 2022.
So an entire Tamang Buddhist village converted because there is caste system in Hinduism? The logic doesn’t fit here.
Africa, Latin America, didn’t have caste. What caste hierarchy did South Korea have that in just one generation, half of their population converted to Christianity?
Yes we can agree that there are social evils in Nepalese society, the government has failed to provide basic necessities to the people, and people have the right to believe whatever religion they want to but we should also admit that missionaries are plagues, whereever they go conflict and war have always ignited.
Majority of hindus supported secularism then, and majority of them support secularism now.

1) Buddhism is popular in western because he is considered a social justice warrior, atheist and etc etc, which he was not…
2) majority of the conversion happens in India and Nepal is because of the financial support provided by the missionaries and the demonization of Hindu gods…
3) don’t know about Nepal but in India all the temples are Hindu controlled by the gov and they don’t even pay the priest and gurukul how the hell they are going to support Hindu conversions while it is this constitutional duty of Indian government to support the religion of minorities so they donate her lodge amount of money for their religious education, so it is a uneven ground in India…
