Dashain holiday started on Saturday. I booked a ticket from e-sewa to go home to Jhapa (Rs. 2,485.00), the ticket provider was the bus sewa. This is the first time I am using their service. I waited on the exact location from 3:00 PM, when the boarding time was approaching, I contacted on the number that was on the ticket. He told me to come down to Burger House where they have their ticket counter. Since I am new to this place, I opened google map and looked for Burger House near me, which was 10min walk, so I walked to the Burger House and found out that there was no ticket counter. There was also a burger house like structure just a few steps away from the boarding point, but it was a caffe. I thought he was talking about this. I was confused and decided to stick with what was written in the ticket, as there were many people standing in front of Bus Sewa Office in Dhungeadda, Kalanki waiting for their buses. The buses came and people boarded the bus and went home, I thought mine had become late or something. But as I called the number that was given to me in the ticket, he didn’t pick up the call. I called the bus sewa office, support, she told me that bus has yet to come and she provided me the bus staff number, vehicle registration number. When I called the staff of the bus, he said that bus had already gone. As that particular bus “Mata Pathivara” does not stop there. Then I called the number again that was provided in the ticket, he said that bus has already gone, he said to come me below Burger House again, so this time I asked clearly “Burger House where?”, he told me to come to the burger house opposite of Mahakali Petrol Pump. I walked there with my luggage there, where he spoke with me rudely saying that I should have come down to Burger House. He has told me to come tomorrow. And put the entire blame on me.

Problems that I have:

1. There are conditions written in the ticket where nowhere it is written that “Boarding Point may be different from what is mentioned in the ticket”. (Moving from one point to another is also a pain, you need to move there with all your belongings and luggage)
2. Also not written that you need to give a call to the number provided on the ticket before boarding.
3. I came from Dhulikhel to Kalanki. Now I had to manage to stay the night somewhere there at my own cost because the bus did not stop at the location mentioned on the ticket.
4. People who are mid-introvert to introvert, or someone new to the place (including me) are completely screwed.

If the ticket is issued, then I will follow the ticket. I was at the boarding point and on time, in fact 2hours ahead of the mentioned time, but the Bus didn’t stop there. If the boarding is different, and I have to give a call to the number ahead, how is this systematic at all? It’s full of inconveniences!! If there are any changes, then it’s the “customer’s responsibility to comply with it” as per the staff (whose number was in the ticket) by giving them a call. The excuse he gave me was that “din ma 1000oota passenger manage garnu parxa, kasari hami aafai call gare ra ensure garna shakxum?” showing me messages on his phone about the tickets that people have bought.
