I am a documentary photographer based in Italy. I will visit Nepal soon. My question is if the people in Kathmandu and Nepal are open to Photographers, or if they dont like if I take pictures around and of them? Obviously I will ask them, but it would be interesting to know how they feel about Photographers. Thank you

It’s okay if you ask them beforehand. Of course make sure to share their photos with them.
Most of them are okay with taking pics, but it’s always good to ask for permission beforehand. Also if possible Shar the pics with them too.
Don’t worry, we like being photographed in public places by somebody with a nice SLR camera. Some people do call you out asking if you can click a picture of them. Just to be on the safe side, I would recommend to request permission or simply describe your purpose.
