Need help understanding rules when bringing phones from abroad

So I am coming to Nepal soon and I’m really confused on what the rules are with bringing phones to Nepal. Some say I can only bring 1 and some say 2.
Basically I want to bring around 5 phones. Can I?
Can I bring 5 devices and just pay taxes on the remaining ones if they found out at the airport? How are taxes calculated if that’s allowed and what percentage do I pay? So if I buy a year old phone for 300/350$ but it’s launch price is actually 800$, do I pay tax on 350 or 800? Or no and rest of the ones will be confiscated at the airport? Will the phones even fully work in Nepal?
Thanks for the help

  1. You can only bring a phone that you are using. If you bring a second phone, you will have to pay taxes. All other phones will be seized if caught.
