Hi to all the members,
I am 25 year old individual male from from India.
I am planning to travel to Nepal as a solo backpacker tourist for a week in mid December this year ( 2023)
Planning to cover Kathmandu -> Pokhara -> Annapurna hikes -> pokhra -> chitwan park -> lumbini -> pashupathinath temple -> Kathmandu and back to India.
Pls help me with guidance if Nepal is safe to travel now and how the weather is.
Is a solo trip possible and pls advice changes to this itinerary.
Are buses and taxis available to travel between destinations.
I am worried due to the recent earthquakes ( prayers for the departed , RIP )
And wished to know if it is suitable to travel now
Thank you I hope I could convey my concerns.
Excited to visit Nepal 😄

Absolutely! Nepal is generally safe to travel, and in mid-December, you can expect pleasant weather ranging from around 10-20 degrees Celsius in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Lumbini (excluding higher-altitude areas like Annapurna, which are colder). Solo trips are quite feasible, but remember to carry some form of identification as certain places may require it. Buses are available for transportation between your chosen destinations, but given your ambitious itinerary, it might be challenging to cover all those places in just a week. Despite recent earthquakes, Nepal has been working on reconstruction, and many areas are suitable for travel. So, pack your bags, bring your IDs, and enjoy your adventure in Nepal!
