I’ve observed that almost all the jogis in Nepal refuse to take anything from “Rimal” households. When they hear the word “Rimal” they just leave the house and it got me thinking that why do they do so? Can anyone explain it?

I am a Rimal and I didn’t know that this was a thing. I, however remember someone telling me that our ‘Kuldeuta’ (who was our ancestor) was killed by a jogi named Handu(?). Our Kuldeuta had two sons, and the younger killed the jogi to avenge his father’s murder. Maybe this is the reason?
Cause they always be giving out “Re – Mal”.
