It is the month ‘September’ for normal people but for tech people like us, it is ‘Techtember’ because many huge tech events used to happen this month. Just yesterday, the Apple Fall Event 2021 had streamed online and the company showed all the hardware products for this year. The main products of yesterday’s launch are iPhone 13 Series, Apple Watch Series 7, iPad, and iPad Mini. So, let us have a detailed look at the specs, availability, iPhone 13, and iPhone 13 Mini price in Nepal below.
iPhone 13/13 Mini Overview
Apple has launched iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, they are the successors of last year’s iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini. These are the base models of the iPhone 13 Series as other higher models are iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Not a big update but this iPhone 13 brings many minor updates to make this year’s iPhone more better and powerful.
Design And Display
Starting off with the design, iPhone 13 is pretty similar to iPhone 12. It has a sleek, flat edge display with a flat surface at the rear side excluding the camera bump. Its dual camera is now set diagonally to provide more space for the camera sensor. The front display is protected by Ceramic Shield, has Glass back and an aluminum design in the frame. It has the same notch on the top which is now 20% smaller than the previous generation iPhones. Talking about the dimensions, iPhone 13 has 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm (5.78 x 2.81 x 0.30 in) and weight of 174 g. The iPhone 13 Mini has 131.5 x 64.2 x 7.7 mm (5.18 x 2.53 x 0.30 in)dimensions and weight of 141 g (4.97 oz).
Both iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini has Super Retina XDR display where iPhone 13 has a 6.1‑inch (diagonal) all‑screen OLED display with 2532‑by‑1170-pixel resolution at 460 PPI density and iPhone 13 Mini has a 5.4‑inch all‑screen OLED display with 2340‑by‑1080-pixel resolution at 476 PPI density. The common features that both of these models share are HDR display, True Tone, Wide color (P3), Haptic Touch, 1200 nits max brightness (HDR), Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, and many more.
One of the most talked-about topics during the iPhone 13 launch event is its camera. The company has declared it as the most powerful dual-camera system in iPhone history. As mentioned earlier, both iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini have the same diagonally placed dual-camera system. It has a 12MP Wide camera and a 12MP Ultra-wide camera(120° field of view). Apple had introduced Sensor‑shift optical image stabilization in iPhone 12 Pro Max and now, it’s in iPhone 13 as well. Other features include 2x optical zoom out, Digital zoom up to 5x, Night mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, and many more.
Although the front notch’s size is minimized, it has the same 12MP TrueDepth Front Camera. The camera system and size are the same as last year but it’s packed with a bundle of features. The front camera has Portrait mode with advanced bokeh and Depth Control. The Portrait Lighting now has six effects: Natural, Studio, Contour, Stage, Stage Mono, High‑Key Mono. Other features include Animoji and Memoji, Night mode, Deep Fusion, Smart HDR 4, and Photographic Styles. The new video recording mode included in iPhone 13 is Cinematic Mode in [email protected] and as usual, HDR video recording with Dolby Vision up to 4K at 60 fps.
There is no doubt that Apple’s chipset is ahead of the competition by at least two years. The company has proved it time and again. The A14 Bionic chipset was a powerful chipset and they have again upgraded it as the new A15 Bionic processor is in the iPhone 13. A15 Bionic chip has a new 6‑core CPU with 2 performance and 4 efficiency cores. Apple has its own GPU with 4 cores and 16 cores Neural Engine.
iPhone 13 has put more focus on Machine Learning. The 16 core Neural Engine can perform 15.8trillion operations per second.
