Im sorry if this might be a dumb question, as I’m pretty new in stock market. But I’ve seen most people only invest for 10 shares? Is there a reason? I mean it sounds pretty convinent, you invest more, you earn more.

IPO is allocated as fixed 10 units per person. Even if you apply 100, you will receive only 10 if its alloted or 0 if not since the applied will be greater than the issued unit.

You can buy more after the IPO in the secondary market.
Technically you can apply for all the shares the company has announced. But, the thing is IPOs are so oversubscribed, 15-20% of the applicants get 10 units each. The rest are returned empty handed.
