Does Nepali bikers doesn’t know traffic rules?

Does Nepali bikers doesn't know traffic rules?

So whenever i am driving and while taking right turn i light the side indicator but bike rider assumes it as a green signal for them to overtake and overtakes and i turn at the same time. It has nearly led to the accidents not once but many times. Whose fault will it be if there was an accident?

  1. Bikers are the worst. Literally scratched my car twice yesterday because some dumb fucks decided it was a good idea to move through a small gap between two cars. And you can’t even confront them because they either just drive off or get mad instead even though I’m the victim there.

  2. Bro yar. Left turn mai huncha malai ta. Even if I am already on the left lane, giving left indicator, pricks decide to overtake from the left just as I’m making my turn.

When I have a certain gap maintained from the vehicle in front, chutiya haru overtake garera thikka agadi aauchan ani slow garchan. Esto panic bhayera brake hannu parcha ni bro. Afu safe way ma chalayera hunna KTM ma. Aru ko unsafe riding sanga cope up gardai, bachdai hidnu parcha. Kata jana chai hattar huncha hola yo behora sakkya rider haru lai.

Safe riding bro and sis haru lai no offense hai. You guys are the gems.

  3. This is Nepal, so even if they know they don’t care. BTW some traffic police also don’t know the traffic rules. And most interesting is those people who makes/ drafts rules and laws of any kind does not even know them rules.🤷

  4. Can’t argue with the efficiency of rules nd degree of their implementations in Nepal. Always wise to care for oneself.

While i turn, i make sure none is approaching from the side nd everthing has come to a halt before i turn. But one more thing (in case of good riders), even if they are overtaking from the side u turn, they do it safely (not saying this right but good among the bads).

  5. Exactly, this one time I was riding on Prithvi Highway with my brother and the heavy vehicles like trucks, buses, etc. would light up the right indicator to allow us to overtake us from the right side. I was never so confused in my life — I was wondering why would the rules change so drastically when we move from city to highways? It’s a wrong practice and turns out that it is kind of a standard in Nepali highways. This big misconception is huge issue and traffic police should do some awareness campaign about it.

  6. Most bikers are shit riders in Nepal. Proper formal training chaina, trial ko nam ma tyo 8 ghumaune cha (jun hagne padhne le ni pass garna sakcha), police chaina bhane j man lagyo tei garya cha. Gadi haru ni teti ramro ta hunna tara j hos mahango bhara hola, care garera chalauchan. Tara micro, bus, taxi ustai hunchan.

  7. Jumping on this to share another gripe- we Nepalese can’t wait. We would rather not wait for the other vehicle to pass a tight spot, which means we are now both stuck. They could have waited 5 seconds, but no. I just drove back from Lo Manthang and was frequently reminded of this Nepali trademark skill. What’s the hurry man, nepalis are never on time, but suddenly you have a sense of urgency?

  8. Doesn’t seem smart of them. They’d be having to pay for it if cops get there in time. I was driving a scooter in Nepal for 3+ months last Fall and never had this exact issue. It might take an accident to correct their behavior, but I also would not leave them room to pass you on the right….make it seem too dangerous bc oncoming cars, and/or look over your shoulder every time if nothing else.
