there is one way i know, that you can do so. But it requires a proper chain of procedures. Both logistical and bureaucratic problems and / or bribing will come to play. Mind you, it will take over whatever work you are doing since this will be a venture and not a one time option.
So basically what you do is, you smuggle a car bought in India. The vehicle/s is unregistered and illegal. You take it to your safehouse full of a team of mechanics, who take all the electronics and engine apart and leave the chassis and bodywork, even the wheels are not to left behind. so basically a husk of your brand new mahinrda XUV700 for example which you bought at its INR value.
Now you pick this husk up and drop it in a remote area near the border towns of nepal, and tip a police that some unknown vehicle is on the road unattended since days. Police comes asks locals, and seizes the husk of your XUV700. Police keeps the husk for some time, idk how long months maybe, and then they have to auction the shit away. The auction starts near the market value of a husk, say 5lakhs (guess). No stupid bidder will bid more than market value of a new body of xuv700. You however, bid 10Lakhs or maybe 7L if you feel a bit dangerous hehe. The auction ends in your favour. The auction ends with you being the rightful owner of a vehicle chassis and its billbook afterwards. You take the husk back to your safehouse, refit everything exactly since your team of mechanics are sitting on its original spares since mnths doing jackshit nothing. You sell the now registered vehicle in the market for 100% its market value, with a return on invest well over 100% your original investment, its INR value.
Result profit!

It’s same in india aswell but there are loophole in there in nepal you have to bribe but sooner or later you vehicle will be confiscated by authorities…The question you should be asking would be why don’t we have graveyard sales like they do in other countries…Some vehicles in traffic police headquarters are in decent condition but they are left to rust…Why can’t I pay the fine for those and transfer the ownership to me? This would save everyone a lot of money. And it benifits nepalese economy aswell…
dk about car but living in the eastern part of nepal i’ve seen many people smuggle bikes through borders and been using here with a fake number plate .
There is no way to do this. If it was doable, there’d be a huge illegal market for it.
1. Buy a car in India.
2. Bring it in Nepal and pay Bhansar
3. Take it back to India every 2-3 months to renew bhansar.
4. You’d have paid like 5 times less.

Yes, it’s totally doable. You can totally buy a car in India, bring it to Nepal without paying taxes or “smuggle” as you say and put it in your living room. It’s not even illegal.
You just can’t drive it or can’t be caught while driving.

If you work for the Ministry of Froeign Affairs, you can import vehicles without any customs.

Yes do it as long as you are not caught one day by mama . If you ger caught then will have to pay a big heafty Customs and fines for Tax Evasion and also for government Stamp and signature Duplicate Fraud. Minimum 2 years Imprisonment & upto 2 Lakhs fine for that and seperate Custom Tax Evasion Fine and penalty according to market value of vehile you smuggled. Best of Luck dude.
