How does the resort works?? I mean they are expensive af. Even the currency rate is in $. There room rates be like 600$,500$,400$. The average salary of nepal is 40-50k. Even if they want go for a relaxation time, they can’t go. There 1 month salary will be gone in a night. Is there any affordable resort in nepal?? Also how do they run because I dnt think most of the people will go to fancy resorts.?? Is nepal resorts in profit or loss? Frustrated and curious too.

Dwarika’s is one of few resorts in Nepal that charge north of $400.
You need to do your research before ranting. You can find a room for below 20k in the likes of Gokarna Forest resort, and others.
Also, these kind of price tags are not for your average Nepali. It’s for foreigners, tourists, people who earn a shit tonne and more.

how many resorts charge over $400 in Nepal? only a handful. Some people pay premium prices to avoid running into guests of lower socio-economic background. This practice is prevalent all over the world in all aspects. Take real estate for example. Many people spend twice the “normal” rates to buy apts and properties because of location.
You know these resorts are not made with you in mind. No offense.

When I would go (with family) it was normally a family or family friends resorts (most are owned by the same group of ppl or related in one way or another🤣) would get discounts and stuff. Those prices are mostly for foreigners, also travelling in groups offers better prices call up and ask. Also there are plently of cheaper resorts around.
Also I dont get the concept of going to very fancy hotels/resorts, I’d be fine with a mid range one as long as its clean and the toilets and stuff dont smell. Its only for sleeping the other touristy activities are mostly outside the resort. Hikes, scenic views, picnics etc
Most popular Hills around ktm is not even worth it anymore herna jada its basically all these shitty resorts blocking all the views and cluttered everywhere instead of greenery and scenic views.

If you are checking from google then the rates differ from region i think.
My girlfriend after getting back from Australia got rates in $200-300. But checking from mine showed cheaper rates for the same.

They have to sell only 30-40rooms a day, of course they are targeted at very high net worth people and foreigners. These rooms are designed for stay for more than 3-4 days, if you are earning less than 5cr a year, its not for you.

Who cares! Resorts are for dhani people , We normal ones are satisfied with chowk to chiya pasal.
Most of the resort are made for foreign guest. For Nepali its difficult to afford ghat much amount . Chandragi hills and club himalaya cost around 16-18k.
He patamurkha. If your objective is to yurn black into white, you have to get the money in the system and get the money to stay there. If you put the money in and then take it out again without paying taxes, you again end up with black money only.
Wrt how many tourists come with so much spending power. Plenty. Also there are plenty of people in Nepal who can pay that much. Also, these level of resorts aren’t expecting a 100% occupancy. They generally are happy if they have 50-60% occupancy on an average. Meaning some days they will sell 100%, some days will only be 15%, they are still happy.
Secondly, these resorts have like 40-50 rooms not a lot, so they dont need 500 high paying tourists every day like most other properties.
Thirdly, wrt to the discounts negotiated, kudos to you. Every hotel has a peak season and a off season. Generally off season prices are a fraction of peak season. This pricing strategy is done globally. So if you book in the middle of monsoons, they are happy to give you the room at a very heavy discount. Look at Ahmedabad hotel prices during world cup finals recently, even cheap hostels were selling their rooms for INR 30k-50k. 5stars were selling for upto INR 2lakhper night.
