I got my first salary while I was in undergrad. I worked in a random writing company to get paid very little. I didn’t even let my parents know about it at that time because I knew they’d not allow me. In other countries children start working at very early age. They go babysit, tutor, serve coffee etc. in order to earn wages. This keeps up pocket money and also keeps busy while not studying or playing. Even now, 10-15 years later it’s still uncommon. I just wished there’d be an environment where teens can work as comfortable and earn not just money but so much experience that will be valuable in future.

Jokes aside, by school if you mean 10 and by college you mean +2 then time nai hunna ni coz of all the homeworks also they are basically children still but if you mean by bachelors then chai most parents just want their kids to focus on studying so they can build good career later and have the mentality ki kaam garyo then padhai bigrincha.
For me, had to go to college from 10 am to 5 pm and the course I did was rigorous. The course content was not difficult to understand but had back to back submissions and presentations. So ghar gayo assignment garyo. Though I do regret not doing something productive during those 2 months holidays we used to get during dashain tihar.
But my sister had morning college and started interning in a bank and eventually got a job there. Did her MBA in the evening and office during the day too.
There are not enough jobs even for adults I guess.
Yes jobs are scarce because in schools and colleges they don’t teach you the skills needed to survive real world. They don’t teach you to create and think & innovate. All they do is try to fit students in 5-10 occupations.
because even university level sakaey ko job paudaina and the salary is barely liveable. it was common back in days (80-90s-early 2010) for people start working after 10 or +2.
Full time school college huncha ni ta. Even university ma 6 days a week, full time class huncha.

Our education system is not knowledge driven. It’s rot driven and it takes a lot of time and lack of distraction to memorize everything. Working reduces the time needed to memorize hence it’s frowned upon or not recommended.
Once you break that barrier and know you’re going to write in the exam what you know, you can be clubbing the night before exam and till mange to go get a Bidhyabhusan from the President.
Family economic problem xaina vane ta bachelor nagare samma kina kam garnu paryo? Baki life kam garerai bitne ta ho. Kam garne nai ho vane final year ma garda hunxa. Ali ramro job paune chance pani hunxa.
