Dhiren Man Shrestha has made history by successfully completing the first-ever East to West ride on a Segway Electric Scooter E100, covering the distance from Kakarbhitta (Nepal India border) to Mahendra Nagar (Nepal India border).
The Segway E100 was equipped with two batteries and two fast chargers, making the journey convenient and comfortable for the rider. This achievement highlights the potential of electric vehicles for long-distance journeys and signifies a significant advancement in environmentally friendly transportation.
Dhiren, who embarked on this 6-night, 7-day adventure, spent only Rs. 650 on charging costs for the entire trip, promoting cost-effective and eco-friendly transportation options. The Segway E100 proved to be a reliable companion throughout the journey, passing rigorous tests on performance, including top speed, off-road, uphill, and comfort.
Before this journey, Dhiren also tested the Segway E100 by traveling from Kathmandu to Hetauda and from Kathmandu to Pokhara on the Segway N100. The Segway E100’s minimal environmental impact, with zero emissions and noise pollution, is one of the most impressive aspects of this journey.
Dhiren Man Shrestha’s achievement is a significant milestone in sustainable mobility, promoting eco-friendly travel options and encouraging a shift towards cleaner modes of transportation.
