In India, 35 cantonment hospitals and 12 military healthcare facilities have Ayurveda centres

The Indian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that Ayurveda centres have been established in 35 cantonment hospitals and 12 military healthcare facilities throughout the nation.
In April, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Ayush (MoA) signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for the establishment of Ayurveda centres.
“In order to extend the benefits of Ayurveda to cantonment residents, including the families of armed forces personnel and civilians, Ayurveda centres have been made operational in 35 out of 37 Cantonment Board Hospitals and 12 military hospitals of Armed Forces Medical Services,” the ministry said. It was stated that “This initiative would further popularize the traditional Indian Ayurvedic medical system to a larger community”
