On Sunday, Sidhu Moose Wala, a Congress leader and Punjabi singer, was assassinated in Mansa district. The shooting also injured two other people. The incident occurred just one day after Punjab withdrew security for 424 people, including Moose Wala. The security cover was removed as part of the Bhagwant Mann administration’s effort to crack down on VIP culture.
The attack occurred while Moose Wala and two of his friends were driving in a jeep to the Punjab village of Jawahar Ke.
Moose Wala’s SUV had been sprayed with bullets, and he was discovered slumped on his seat, bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
According to Punjab police, the attack appeared to be the result of a gang war. According to police, a Canadian-based gangster has claimed responsibility for the attack.
“The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is responsible for this murder. Fortunately, a member of the gang has accepted responsibility from Canada “According to Punjab DGP VK Bhawra. He claimed that Moose Wala’s manager, Shaganpreet, was involved in the murder of Vicky Middukhera last year.
According to the top police officer, this murder appeared to be retaliation for Middukhera’s murder.
The Punjab Police Department has also formed a special investigation team to look into the incident.
