Authorities said at least 19 students and two adults were killed in a at Robb Elementary in , Texas, about 80 miles west of San Antonio.

Officials have identified the gunman as Salvador Ramos, who is believed to have acted alone. According to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, the 18-year-old suspect attended Uvalde High School.

The shooting was the deadliest at an elementary since the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut, which killed 26 , including 20 children aged 6 to 7.
