Elon Musk says he’d like to meet his Chinese doppelganger, Yilong Ma — assuming he’s not a deepfake.

has stated that he would like to meet his Chinese lookalike , a man from the northeastern Chinese province of Hebei, if he is real.

This week, Musk responded to a user who suggested that the “Chinese ” could be a “decoy” for the real thing.

Ma, who resembles Musk, first went viral on China’s version of , Douyin, after a of him standing next to a luxury-car spread went viral. The video reached Musk, prompting the and CEO to remark on December 20 that he might be “partly Chinese.”

Ma now has a TikTok account with over 230,000 followers under the username “Elong Musk.” He has since posted several videos on TikTok, including one in which he introduces himself as “China’s Elon Musk.”

Ma also commented on Musk’s high-profile acquisition of Twitter, posting a TikTok in which he animatedly points to a printout of the Twitter icon, referring to it as “my bird!”

Ma’s most recent video, which was posted earlier this week, appears to show him attempting to speak English. He captioned it, “Actually, I don’t know what I’m talking about, please forgive me.”

Ma, for his part, has responded to Musk’s advances by saying that he, too, would like to meet him.

“I’ve arrived. I, too, am eager to see you! You are my hero, and I adore you “Ma posted on China’s Twitter-like Weibo on Tuesday.
