Tattva Farms: Reviving Tradition with Flavored Jaggery

Tattva Farms launches flavoured jaggery in the market

Nepali kitchens are witnessing a revival of tradition as Tattva Farms reintroduces the beloved staple, jaggery, in a variety of flavors. Traditionally known as Shakhar and Gund, jaggery is making a comeback, thanks to Tattva Farms’ efforts to infuse it with new tastes while preserving its original and medicinal properties.

Tattva Farms boasts an array of jaggery products, each infused with distinct flavors to cater to diverse preferences and culinary uses. From the classic Original Jaggery Powder to the exotic blends like Cinnamon, Saffron, Masala Tea, Turmeric, Black Pepper, and Ginger Jaggery Powders, there’s something to tantalize every taste bud.

Founder Himanshu Tripathi believes that jaggery powders in various flavors offer versatile culinary possibilities. Not limited to traditional pairings with ghee and curd, these powders can enhance the flavors of everyday staples like roti and rice, and even elevate the taste of bakery products.

Currently, Tattva Farms products are conveniently accessible across Nepal, with availability in prominent supermarkets such as Bhatbhateni, Big Mart, Salesberry, and various general grocery stores. The reach extends beyond Kathmandu Valley, spanning cities in the east, as well as western cities like Pokhara, Bhairahawa, and Butwal.

Consumers have the option to choose from two jar sizes, 300 grams and 600 grams, making it suitable for both individual households and commercial use. Moreover, Tattva Farms’ presence extends beyond providing flavorful products; its industry in Nawalparasi’s Pratappur not only employs around 200 individuals but also positively impacts the livelihoods of sugarcane farmers’ families.

Tattva Farms’ endeavor to revive jaggery’s prominence in Nepali households serves as a testament to the power of innovation in preserving cultural heritage while fostering economic growth and sustainability.
